By next weekend, you will be deeply entrenched in the feeling of fall. So even though you want some new seasonal clothing now, we suggest you wait a week and take advantage of Fall Sprawl, “a shopping pilgrimage” that will spread the deals through Northern Liberties to Queen Village. Two really cool urban shopping districts with unique retailers, spunky coffeeshops/teahouses, and easy access from one neighborhood to the other. Get your fix of art, furniture, clothing, shoes, accessories, and then celebrate your savvy selections with coffee, beer, and snack deals.
Here’s how it works:
Participating boutiques will be giving 10% off to start with. Shop at any location and get a stick on your card each time you shop. 1 sticker = 15% off your next shopping destination and 2 stickers = 20% off at the shop after that. Get 3 stickers to get the special deals at the food establishments and continue to get 20% off at any participating locations thereafter.
This listing in Northern Liberties is a New Construction Home that will challenge any thought you might have of this being a typical builder grade cookie cutter project.

Well, in this ode to the wacky, the bonkers, the absolutely wild, we’d like to point out a couple of crazy yet POSITIVE new happenings in our neck of the woods.
It’s no secret that Philadelphians love their burgers just as much as we go cuckoo for cupcakes. It was just a matter of time before Piazza burger bar PYT came up with a Red Velvet Cupcake Burger. You read that right. This Burger of the Week is available right now and is an opportunist’s dream of a Ground Chicken patty dipped in Red Velvet Cupcake batter and then dredged in toasted Red Velvet Cupcake toasted crumbs. Deep fried and served with a Cream Cheese Sauce and topped with thin Granny Smith Apple slices on a soft Challah bread brioche bun from Kaplan’s Bakery in Northern Liberties. Of course, you get fries with that. Not only is PYT located in Northern Liberties, but the bun from nearby Kaplan’s and the cupcakes from a neighborhood baker (Pamcakes Sweet Cupcakery) make this a true ode to Northern Liberties if there ever was one.
As if that was not enough, the Piazza has announced its First Annual Recess at the Piazza Dodgeball Tournament. Why not revisit your childhood love of dodgeball in the neighborhood where anything goes? For information to register for the tournament, email recessatthepiazza@gmail.com. The first tournament will be held on September 14.
Over the past few weeks, our Remax Access office interior has undergone a makeover. We’ve had a few accent walls painted, paintings and photographs were put up, tv’s in our waiting area and conference room were installed along with many additional personal touches.
Here is a glimpse into some of our recent changes and remember if you are in the Northern Liberties area, stop by and take a look for yourself! We are located at 1033 N. 2nd Street 5th Floor Philadadelphia, PA 19123–@ The Piazza at Schmidts!
It’s a neighborhood that is quite proud of its smoky food: Folks dig in over saucy plates at El Camino Real on Liberties Walk, further down it’s barbecue syrup being drizzled over waffles at A Full Plate, a rack of ribs at N. 3rd. Everyone gets in on the action, with vegetarians who have plenty of options, local restaurants who claim they do it best, and amateur BBQ-lovers who are convinced their recipe will rule the judges’ stomachs.
Wanna compete? Deadline for entry this year is September 4th, so there is still time to perfect your rub recipe. Teams of 4 (one head griller and 3 assistants) will compete in 3 categories: Whole Chicken, Pork Ribs, and Vegetarian. A Full Plate will provide 20 racks of ribs and 8 chickens for each team. You can read the rules and regulations on the website.
